What a week! On Thursday, country superstar Kip Moore came to the tent and put on an amazing show. Performing an intimate set that wowed the entire crowd, Kip played hit after hit, with fan favorites sprinkled in between. The crowd was electric during his smash hit “Somethin ‘Bout a Truck“, and they applauded when Moore immediately filled up his cup after accidentally spilling it (it’s a good thing he has “Beer Money“!). A clear audience favorite was “That Was Us“, but every song received an warm response from the crowd, who loved every minute of the show.
On Friday, the Tent welcomed two legends: Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs. These are two titans of music who have been pleasing audiences for decades, and clearly have a great time doing it. The crowd was obviously thrilled to be in the presence of these two masters, and as the Cape Cod Times wrote in their review of the show, at some point in the evening, “grown men began to yell out, just out of apparent joy or to ask for a song”. Each star brought their own beloved trademarks: Boz Scaggs gave the audience a breathtaking electric guitar solo, while Michael McDonald closed the evening with an exuberant rendition of his Doobie Brothers smash hit “Takin’ It to the Streets“.
Then on Saturday, the Brew Festival gave us a great conclusion to three straight nights of fun. With over 150 different varieties, this event had a little something for everyone. Festival-goers especially loved the lawn games, and the atmosphere was friendly and fun. If you weren’t able to make it this weekend, be sure to purchase your tickets for next year’s annual Brew Fest as soon as they go on sale!
