The Melody Tent Box Office Opening Celebration is THIS SUNDAY – and your invited!

The Melody Tent Box Office is opening for the season THIS Sunday, May 29 at 12 noon! Come help us celebrate and enjoy a day of food sampling, raffle prizes and a special appearance by Cape Cod’s own American Idol finalist Siobhan Magnus! The festivities kick off at 11 AM.

Box Office Opening Events

-Meet & Greet session with Cape Cod’s own American Idol Finalist Siobhan Magnus from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM

-Food samples from Ardeo, Brazilian Grill and Embargo

-Enter-To-Win raffle prizes including gift certificates to Tedeschi’s and Not Your Average Joe’s; a boogie board signed by The Beach Boys; and more!

Treat yourself this summer, pick up tickets to your favorite shows! All 2011 shows are now sale to the public and can be purchased in-person at the box office (excepting sold out shows).

(Starting May 29 the box office will be open for in person sales seven days a week from 12 noon – 6PM)

So come on down to the big blue tent at 21 W. Main St. in Hyannis and get ready for an amazing summer!

This summer we have a string of amazingly talented country music stars coming to the Tent!

Darius Rucker, Trace Adkins, Alison Krauss, Aaron Lewis, Josh Turner, Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Lyle Lovett, take your pick! Whether you’re a tried and true country fan or just like a little hint of country in your music we have something to please everyone.

And to prove we have the cream of the crop when it comes to country, here’s a little peak of what CMT has been highlighting this week in their newsletters:

- Trace Adkins signed on to the CMT’s May 12 concert to benfit disastor relief. He’ll be joining nine other artists, including Sara Evans! (Plus, Ron White, another Melody Tent 2011 performer, will be co-hosting the event).

- CMT’s weekly “New Country Videos” Newsletter this week featured Darius Rucker’s “Together, Anything is Possible,” Aaron Lewis Live from Nashville, and Martina McBride’s “A Broken Wing.”

In the past weeks Alsion Krauss has had a series of vidoes profiled for her new album, Paper Airplanes. 

Sara Evans is nominated for a CMT Award in the “Female Video of the Year” category for ”A Little Bit Stronger” and recently visited tornado-ravaged Alabama.

It’s going to be a good year for country fans at the Melody Tent!

Siobhan Magnus (of American Idol 2010 fame) has been busy. She kicked off the new year by spending time in Nashville working on songs for her solo debut. She’s played a few shows around the area and been talking to local radio stations.

Then last weekend came the moment Siobhan’s fans were waiting for - the release of her first song. Magnus debuted “Beatrice Dream” on iTunes on May 1 and plans to release three more songs this summer. A full album is expected late this fall.

Now, Siobhan will be singing live at a Boston Celtics game this weekend! And she’s scheduled for a full show at the Cape Cod Melody Tent (complete with rotating stage!) on June 18.

…There’s even a rumor that she’ll be at the Melody Tent Box Office opening day on May 29 to sign autographs (stay tuned for details!)

“Beatrice Dream” is right, this girl certainly is going places!
