This past Sunday was the 31st Annual WCOD Cape Cod Chowder Festival at the Melody Tent and it just keeps getting bigger and better! This year 12 restaurants from across the Cape competed for the coveted “Chowder Bowl” and bragging rights to the best chowder on the Cape for a year!

Everyone who came and sampled had their favorites and WCOD brought in a panel of celebrity judges to help make the final decision. This year’s celebrity panel included Randy Price of Newscenter 5, Maria Stephanos of Fox 25, Nelly Carreno of NECN, Lou Merloni of Sports Radio 96.3 WEEI, WXTK’s Howie Carr, singer Siobhan Magnus, and Rep. Bill Keating!

In the end Bobby Byrne (with locations in Mashpee Commons, Hyannis and Sandwich) was chosen as the winner! Congratuations to Bobby Byrne!
