Comedian Brian Regan didn’t start out with the intention of being a family-friendly “clean” comedian, he started out with the intention of avoiding early morning desk duty!
Regan remembers thinking, “I could get to a job that starts at 8 p.m. If I don’t have to wake up before 7:30 p.m., I think I could accomplish this.”
Check out what Regan had to stay about his career and why he shies away from TV to the Cape Cod Times.
Hanson uses the video for their newest single “Thinking ‘Bout Somethin’” (off of the just released album, Shout It Out) to pay homage to an awesome street dancing scene in The Blues Brothers
The brothers certainly have grown since their “Mmmbop” days. Check out the blues, soul, and rock influcences they pull into their music now!
We know you spend your week days counting down to the weekend, who doesn’t! This weekend at the Melody Tent is going to rock! We have a sold out Frankie Valli show, Huey Lewis & The News back by popular demand, and hard rocking heartthrob Bret Michaels!
Not sure Bret is recovered enough to tour yet? Well check out this video from the beginning of his tour, the man’s still got it!
You can tell it’s Monday because TentTalk is busy recapping the weekend’s reviews!
Cheech & Chong wrapped up last weekend’s line-up with their Sunday show and, like Melissa Etheridge and B.B. King earlier in the weekend, the comedy duo mangaged to distract Tent-goers from the heat (or at least made it a bit more bearable).
The pair easily connected with the wide range of audience members, from people who have been fans since the beginning in the ’70s to those who weren’t even born yet. Check out the Cape Cod Times’ thoughts on the show.
Like their favorite mind-boggling plant, Cheech and Chong are smooth, mellow and definitely giggle-inducing. But fortunately, the high you get from such a great show is actually legal.
B.B. King may be in his 80s now, but his music is as timeless as ever. King rocked the Tent on July 10 and according to the Cape Cod Times review, he’s still pitch perfect in every way.
When a musician has been playing the blues for more than 60 years as B.B. King has, the question is not so much “Has he done it?” but “Can he still do it?”
Melissa Etheridge is no stranger to the Cape Cod Melody Tent. But this year, instead of just her and her guitar, Ms. Etheridge brought along a slue of seasoned rockers. Check out what the Cape Cod Times had to say about Friday’s show:
It was hot in every sense of the word: the free sauna courtesy of Mother Nature; the wail of dueling guitars; the new rock star musicians and, most of all, the pure — at points, unearthly — Etheridge, whose voice and guitar-playing seem to emanate from her as naturally as breathing.
And watch this audience member’s video to see the action live!

“I’m delighted to be headed to Hyannis, too, because I love the Melody Tent. I love the funkiness of it and the unique vibe it has because it’s in the round. You have the audience all around you so there’s no feeling of emptiness anywhere. And, they’re is so close that it creates this amazing circle of energy. The Melody Tent is definitely my favorite place to perform.”
Boz Scaggs helped the audience get ready for the 4th of July in style at the Melody Tent on Saturday. Making himself a household name in the 1960s, Boz proved he still has what it takes to keep an audience on its feet and singing along!
For most of last night’s show, Scaggs and his band worked the hit train, opening with “Jo Jo,” bathed in purple mood lighting for “Harbor Lights,” flirting with disco on “Lowdown” and “Miss Sun,” and generating a big sing-along for the gambling man “Lido.”
