This summer we have a string of amazingly talented country music stars coming to the Tent!

Darius Rucker, Trace Adkins, Alison Krauss, Aaron Lewis, Josh Turner, Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Lyle Lovett, take your pick! Whether you’re a tried and true country fan or just like a little hint of country in your music we have something to please everyone.

And to prove we have the cream of the crop when it comes to country, here’s a little peak of what CMT has been highlighting this week in their newsletters:

- Trace Adkins signed on to the CMT’s May 12 concert to benfit disastor relief. He’ll be joining nine other artists, including Sara Evans! (Plus, Ron White, another Melody Tent 2011 performer, will be co-hosting the event).

- CMT’s weekly “New Country Videos” Newsletter this week featured Darius Rucker’s “Together, Anything is Possible,” Aaron Lewis Live from Nashville, and Martina McBride’s “A Broken Wing.”

In the past weeks Alsion Krauss has had a series of vidoes profiled for her new album, Paper Airplanes. 

Sara Evans is nominated for a CMT Award in the “Female Video of the Year” category for ”A Little Bit Stronger” and recently visited tornado-ravaged Alabama.

It’s going to be a good year for country fans at the Melody Tent!

It’s no secret that Darius Rucker is pretty popular. He was popular as Hootie from Hootie and the Blowfish and he’s made a huge splash in the past few years as Darius Rucker, the country singer. (I still remember seeing him for the first time in a cowboy hat while watching the CMAs, it was a bit surreal!)

He performed on Letterman just a few weeks ago, his latest album is still #12 on Billboard’s Country Album chart, and he is the center piece artist in today’s CMT’s “You Heard It” newsletter! You Heard It was specfically highlighting the video to Darius’ single “This.” Check it out, they have quite a few vidoes on Darius’ page!
