We are excited to welcome back Scotty McCreery to the Cape Cod Melody Tent after his sold out 2013 performance. If you missed his performance last season, grab your tickets while you can.
With album sales approaching 2 million in less than two years, Scotty McCreery has emerged as one of country’s hottest new stars. He has earned a gold and platinum album, two gold singles, and two consecutive album debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. His social numbers are equally impressive with a combined 2.4 million followers on Facebook and Twitter.
His deep voice and an irresistible sound create the perfect blend of contemporary and traditional country. With more than 200 live shows under his belt across the U.S., Canada and the Philippines, McCreery has become a crowd favorite appealing to all ages. His fan base is one of the most dedicated and enthusiastic in the country music world. His first headlining tour has been so successful—with numerous sell-outs and additional shows added to meet demand–that a fall 2013 run was added.
After winning Season Ten of American Idol, Scotty released his debut album, which was the best-selling solo album released by a country artist in 2011. Indeed, he became the youngest man in history to have his first album debut atop the all-genre Billboard Top 200 albums chart.
That album, Clear As Day, was certified platinum for sales of one million in just thirteen weeks. The first two singles from that album were each certified gold. In 2012, his Christmas album was also certified gold. He was named Top New Artist by Billboard and won best new artist awards at the Academy of Country Music Awards, the American Country Awards, and the CMT Awards. He is nominated for Breakthrough Artist at the upcoming American Country Awards.
His new album, See You Tonight, released in October 2013, debuted No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. He co-wrote his current single, “See You Tonight,” which is climbing the charts, and well as four others on the album, which is receiving rave reviews from publications ranging from Rolling Stone and People to Entertainment Tonight and The Los Angeles Times and even our own Cape Cod Times.
