“This is a thrilling time for the Melody Tent. We are hoping these events become annual summer traditions. These new events are more than just great music in a unique venue. They create a full experience,” comments Deanna Lohnes, marketing director for the Melody tent and Music Circus. “We want to offer something for everyone. The Food Truck Festival has a family focus. We worked to make this event appealing for the whole family. At the other end of the spectrum is the Brewer’s Festival, our only age restricted event. We want to turn beer drinkers on to microbrews and new varieties from well-known brewers.” The First Annual Melody Tent Brewers Festival on August 10th will offer a vast variety of beers (including many microbrews) for sampling. More than 40 brewers will be in attendance. The admission fee allows patrons to taste any of the offerings by an All Star lineup of brewers, large and small. Music will be provided by Cape and Islands favorites Entrain and the Adam Ezra Group. The Melody Tent hosts its first Irish Music Festival on August 22nd. Headlining this special evening will be Grammy awarded and Emmy nominated violin virtuoso Eileen Ivers performing with Immigrant Soul. Also appearing will be The Fighting Jamesons and Celtica: Pipes Rock. Other Irish themed activities include an Irish Step Dance demonstration and a performance by Highland Light Scottish Pipes Band. This event will also be held at the South Shore Music Circus on August 21st
