CAPE COD MELODY TENT NOMINATED FOR ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARD

The Melody Tent nominated alongside Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean Cohasset, MA, January 29, 2014– Nominations were announced today for the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The Cape Cod Melody Tent was among the nominees in the category of Venue of the Year, Small Capacity. “We’re honored to be chosen by the Academy members as an outstanding venue. Small capacity venues have difficulty gaining recognition nationally, we applaud the ACM’s Board for understanding the changing nature of touring and shining a spotlight on the smaller venues nationwide,” noted Cape Cod Melody Tent Executive Producer Vincent Longo. This is the first year the Academy is recognizing venues with different capacities. The Venue of the Year award now includes three separate awards based on venue capacity: Venue of the Year – Small Capacity recognizes venues with a maximum capacity of 4,000 seats, Venue of the Year -Medium Capacity will recognize venues with a capacity of 4,001 seats to 11,000 seats, and Venue of the Year – Large Capacity will recognize venues with a minimum of 11,001 seats. Also nominated for ACM Awards were:

Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw lead with 7 nominations;
Keith Urban receives 6 nominations;
Lee Brice, Kacey Musgraves, Blake Shelton, and Taylor Swift each receive 5 nominations;
Florida Georgia Line and Lady Antebellum each receive 4 nominations;
Luke Bryan and Darius Rucker each receive 3 nominations
