Judy Collins has long inspired audiences with sublime vocals, boldly vulnerable songwriting, personal life triumphs & a commitment to social activism. In the 60s, she evoked idealism & steely determination for a generation united against social & environmental injustices. Five decades later, her presence shines still. Her rendition of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now” from her landmark album, Wildflowers, was entered into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Judy’s version of “Send in the Clowns,” won “Song of the Year” at the 1975 Grammy Awards. She’s garnered several top-ten hits gold- & platinum-selling albums. Recently, contemporary & classic artists such as Rufus Wainwright, Shawn Colvin, Dolly Parton, Joan Baez, & Leonard Cohen honored her legacy with the album Born to the Breed: A Tribute to Judy Collins. Her 55th album, Spellbound, finds Judy enjoying an artistic renaissance marking the first time she wrote all the songs. Judy will release her first book of poetry in March of 2025. Richard Thompson’s musical influence cannot be overstated. Co-founding the groundbreaking group Fairport Convention as a teen in the ‘60s, he & his b& invented the distinctive strain of British Folk Rock. He left the group at 21 to begin a decade long musical partnership with his then-wife Linda. In 2011, Thompson received an OBE (Order of the British Empire) personally bestowed upon him by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.The LA Times called him “the finest rock songwriter after Dylan & the best electric guitarist since Hendrix” & Rolling Stone named him one of the Top 100 Guitarists of All Time.He has received lifetime achievement awards for songwriting from the BBC Radio 2 Awards, the Americana Music Association, & was awarded the prestigious Ivor Novello Award.His song 1952 VincentBlack Lightning was named one of TIME’s 100 Greatest Songs Since 1923.
