Did you know the Melody Tent is a non-profit organization? Maybe not, we don’t hold fundraisers, giving campaigns or telethons like other organizations. We are supported entirely on ticket sales to the shows you look forward to every summer. Instead of keeping that cash like other music venues, we give it back to the community in the form of grants supporting education and the arts.
Now we’re asking for your help to continue our support of the communities we call home. We need your vote in the Boston Globe’s GRANT program. GRANT enables readers to show their support for non-profits by choosing which ones are given free advertising space in The Boston Globe.
The way it works:
The Boston Globe is sending vouchers to each subscriber, both online and delivery. Globe readers decide which non-profit to support with their voucher. Write the name of the organization you want to support and mail the voucher back to the Globe in the envelope that comes with the voucher. The organizations with the highest voucher donations will receive valuable advertising in The Boston Globe. The deadline for subscribers to turn in their voucher is March 1.
