November 9, 1858 marked the first performance of NY Symphony Orchestra.

In 1936 Mary Travers of Peter Paul & Mary was born in Louisville, Kentucky

On this day in 1941 Tom Fogerty, guitarist for Creedence Clearwater Revival was born. Fogerty died on September 6, 1990.

In 1948 Alan Gratzer of REO Speedwagon was born and one year later in 1949 Tommy Caldwell of the Marshall Tucker Band was born.

Ben Folds

Multi-platinum-selling singer, songwriter and producer Ben Folds is known for his eclectic, genre-defying musical talent. He rose to fame during his time in Ben Folds Five, during which singles such as  “Brick”, “Song for the Dumped”, “Battle of Who Could Care Less” and “Army” were created.
